It
wasn't until July 2008 that a second teaser trailer for Truth & Treason appeared,
released through the film's official website at www.truthandtreason.com
, this time featuring stunning scenes from the film with Haley Joel Osment
giving a deeply moving performance, and confirming once and for all that he was
indeed attached to the film.

This
second trailer was quickly discovered by the fans, who were blown away by the
trailer's cinematography and intense performance especially by Haley Joel Osment.
The cinematography's color palette and lighting were beautifully authentic for
this period film, and in just 1 minute and 26 seconds, it had everyone who watched
it hooked, excited about the film and anxious to see it.
What
the fans did not realise at the time this second trailer was
first released was that this 1 minute 26 second trailer was
cut together from approximately 10 minutes of footage that
was specially shot for promotion purposes. For this, Haley
Joel Osment was specially
flown to Utah in October 2007 to shoot a few scenes
so that this second trailer could be created.
Principal
photography for Truth & Treason will not start till some
time toward the end of 2008, and the trailer ends correctly
with the following message....
While
it is early days yet for the film, with principal photography
yet to start as at the time of writing, one thing is obvious.
The Producers of Truth & Treason, Kaleidoscope Pictures,
and director Matt Whitaker, are committed to producing a truly
special film, and it is one that is obviously close to their
hearts, having worked with the subject of Helmuth Hubener
since well before 2002.
To
actually fly Haley Joel Osment down to Utah specially, just
to film this short trailer, is also testament to their commitment
to the film, as is the incredible quality of this trailer,
from the set design to the cinematography, from the mise
en scene to the costumes, from the lighting and color
palette to the intensity of performances in the few short
scenes.
Some
of these scenes may not even make it into the final cut of
the completed film, but it is obvious that there is a great
labor of love behind this upcoming film.
