Joel Osment, currently preparing to appear with John Leguizamo
in the upcoming Broadway revival of David Mamet's American
Buffalo from October 31 (with an official opening on November
17) , recently took time off to speak with MTV's Jennifer
Vineyard about Truth & Treason. Haley confirmed
that the plans are to complete principal photography on Truth
& Treason in 2009 . "It’s a lot of different
international partners going in on that," Haley said,
adding, " We’re still plugging along and it’s a fantastic
story, and really timely considering the political issues
that it encapsulates. I’ll be excited when it gets off the

August 2008 : We
have lots of updates for you regarding Truth & Treason,
all carefully researched and verified. We have updated information
about the First
Teaser Trailer, how it was put together, and who are
the people featured in it. Most importantly, was Haley actually
featured in it, as was originally believed? The biggest update,
however, is surprising information about the Second
Teaser Trailer that has gotten everyone excited about
the film. We now have obtained official permission to release
the information that this Second
Teaser Trailer was
cut together from only about 10 minutes of footage filmed
in November 2007, when Haley was specially flown to Utah just
to film these precious few minutes of footage. All the details

we can now confirm that the following pictures were of Haley
arriving in Utah to film the second promotional trailer for

students and everyone who is tracking the production of Truth
& Treason will want to get their hands on two essential
resources,
firstly a book called When
Truth was Treason, the first scholarly tome about
Helmuth Hübener, and Truth
and Conviction , a 2002 documentary by none other
than Truth & Treason director, Matt Whitaker, also about
Helmuth
Hübener.

a scholarly and detailed entry in Wikepedia
, the life and exploits of Helmuth Hübener is chronicled.
Interestingly, according to Wikepedia
, Hübener's story was documented in the 2003 movie, "Truth
& Conviction," written and directed by Rick McFarland and
Matt Whitaker. The movie, later released on DVD, was sponsored
by the BYU College of Humanities . Matt Whitaker also directed
a documentary called Truth & Treason, based on the youths'
defiance of the Nazi regime. Matt Whitaker then decided to
make a film of the events. Veteran actor Max von Sydow was
cast first, followed by Haley Joel Osment a couple of months
later. Haley Joel Osment plays Hübener, with Matt Whitaker
directing his own screenplay co-written with Ethan Vincent.

It was not until one full year later that exciting news came
for fans of Haley. The official website for Truth & Treason,
www.truthandtreason.com , updated the site with
a stunning new teaser trailer, this time featuring none other
than Haley Joel Osment in a several intense scenes from the
film. Again, it was Fair who alerted the fans at the official
Haley Joel Osment message boards. Fair's post is archived

An intriquing teaser trailer for Truth & Treason appeared
at www.truthandtreason.com
and also on several obscure trailer websites. This documentary
style trailer featured what appeared to be an interview with
a historian and Karl-Heinz Schnibbe, the last surviving member
of the three friends who dared to oppose Hitler and his Third
Reich.

first caught wind of a possible new film starring Haley Joel
Osment when loyal Haley fan FAIR
first noticed a new listing on IMDB listing Haley Joel Osment
as attached to a film called Truth & Reason. A concept
poster for Truth & Treason was featured on the IMDB page
. Click on the poster below to see Fair's original post at
the official Haley Joel Osment message board, which got many
fans excited about this film.
